This is a bright 3 bedroom cottage located in quiet Sunset Bay off of South Bay at the eastern-most end of Stoney Lake. The cottage faces north and has a perfect panoramic view of the entire bay through the large picture windows.

The living room has a high vaulted ceiling with a ceiling fan to assist in enhancing circulation from the window air-conditioner. Baseboard heaters provide warmth on those cool evenings. The entertainment centre includes a color TV with VCR, DVD, Satellite dish and a video game system with games. There are a number of assorted video tapes (mostly childrens) and an assortment of board games and puzzles for those rainy days.

The kitchen is well appointed with a fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans. Adjoining the kitchen is a dining area with a beautiful pine dining table with seating for 6.

The cottage measures 25 x 21 with a three piece bathroom and three bedrooms, two with double beds and one with a single bed. Bedding, pillows and towels are provided.

There is a large deck on the waterfront side with deck chairs and table. The front yard has a wooden swing for two, picnic table, propane Barbeque and a fire pit. There is also plenty of room for a game of badminton, lawn darts, volleyball or just sunning. The beach area directly in front of the cottage does have weeds.

There is an island a few minutes by canoe from the cottage that has deeper water for diving and very few weeds, which makes for a fine swimming place for all ages. There is also an excellent public sand beach within 10 minutes by boat or car.

Renters may have the use of a canoe, paddle boat and an aluminum boat with oars. A 4.5hp motor is also available for a very nominal charge to renters possessing a valid boaters license.

The water supply is from the lake, therefore renters should bring bottled water for drinking. There are two water faucets which supply filtered water which we use for cooking.

This is a non-smoking cottage!

Pets are fine, but please keep them under control and clean up after them.

There is no telephone at the cottage. There is a marginal cell-phone coverage. The closest neighbour does have a telephone and the convienience store has a pay phone.

Reid's Log Cabin convenience store is within 3 km for assorted groceries, gas and oil and they also rent VHS tapes. Fishing bait is available at the Blue Mountain store about 2 kms past Reid's. More complete shopping is available in Lakefield which is about 25 km or Norwood - 20 km. Lakefield is a very pretty village with stately older homes, several antique shops and other specialty stores. During the summer there are various events such as the Lakefield Literary Festival in July or the Havelock Jamboree.

Arrival time is 5:00 pm on Sunday. Departure time is 12:00 am on the following Sunday. Please leave the cottage clean and tidy and respect the check-in and check-out times. If, after your departure, the cottage requires more than the usual housekeeping, a cleaning fee will be deducted from your security deposit. Renters are asked to leave the cottage as they find it.
